"Boyfriend Dungeon is a dating sim/dungeon crawler hybrid where your lover turns into a weapon, then you fight with them… literally". īoyfriend Dungeon was nominated for the Games for Impact category for The Game Awards 2021. Game Informer liked the dateable partners of the game, writing that most had intresting backgrounds, "Not every storyline hit a home run, but each character is unique and easily relatable. It felt satisfying in the moment to hack and slash my way through the levels, but each of the big fights came and went without much difficulty". Polygon felt the game could be poorly paced at points, with Boyfriend Dungeon's two dungeons being easy to complete, "This all felt compounded by how quickly I was able to breeze through the two dungeons, as well. While criticizing the handling of some of the game's topics, Nintendo Life enjoyed the dungeon crawling aspects of the game, "Combat is satisfying and snappy, and the reward loop keeps you wanting to come back for more". IGN gave the game a mixed review, saying that " Boyfriend Dungeon offers a fun spin on the dating sim formula, but its roguelite parts don't always mix well with developing romance." Nintendo World Report liked the dialogue between characters, saying, "The writing across all the dates is strong, alternating between tongue-in-cheek and sincere at a pleasant cadence". PCGamesN called it "an intriguing curio". GamesRadar+ stated that "the game feels perfectly weighted to suit those who love either genre, yet doesn't alienate new players". Reception īoyfriend Dungeon received "mixed or average" reviews, according to review aggregator Metacritic. Additionally, some content was cut from the game so that it would be released "at a time that isn't like. On September 10, 2020, it was announced that the game would be delayed to 2021 to protect the developers' mental health. Kitfox tried to avoid making the protagonist a self-insert character, and focused on adding "fears and desires and an arc" to make the main character more of a character. The developers stated that they wanted to make the romance elements "as inclusive as possible" and therefore allow players to date women and non-binary characters, despite the game's title. One of its characters, Rowan, was designed by the artist of Hatoful Boyfriend. The game was funded via Kickstarter, where it raised $272,000 and surpassed its goal. The personalities of the weapon characters are based on their weapon type. The weapons can be dated to increase their power, although the game also contains a platonic relationship with a cat. The player fights in dungeons, known as "dunj" in the world's slang, using weapons created from transformed humans or other creatures. The main character, whose pronouns are selectable and can be he/him, she/her, or they/them, lives in Verona Beach, a city in a contemporary fantasy world where monsters pose a danger to people. Outside of combat, there are visual novel-style dating sequences that allow the player to choose their responses. The player can perform different combos depending on their weapon. The game's combat takes place in real time from an isometric perspective. It was released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on August 11, 2021, followed by a PlayStation 5 version on February 14, 2023. Outside of dungeons, the player can date their partner in visual novel-style sequences that increase their power in combat. Taking place in an urban fantasy setting, the player character must fight through dungeons with the help of a human partner who can transform into a sentient weapon. Boyfriend Dungeon is a dungeon crawler- dating sim developed and published by Kitfox Games.

Boban is a sizable risk here, but he has exceeded 5x value in each of the last three games.New Post Game Thread Nikola Jokic dominates the 2023 NBA Finals and earns Finals MVP, averaging 30.2/14/7. He’s the post presence Dallas needs, so I’m a little surprised that he doesn’t play more. However, Boban put up 21.5 DraftKings points in just 15 minutes against Cleveland in the first meeting. He just rarely sees enough run to be a DFS option. Trust me, we’ll need it.īoban Marjanovic ($3,300): Boban has been one of the best per minute producers in his time in the NBA. This is another really good matchup for Theis and he can provide some salary relief. A well rested Thompson should see a similar stat line tonight.ĭaniel Theis ($4,900): Theis finally has gained some separation for the starting center job in Boston his big game against the Clippers. Thompson put up 39.5 DraftKings points in a shade under 31 minutes. He’s a strong post presence that Dallas really doesn’t have. Tristan Thompson ($5,700): It should come as no surprise that Thompson stuck it to Dallas the first time around. Holmes has been a beast for the Kings at a position where they sorely needed one. Richaun Holmes ($6,300): Holmes is finally in a spot where he gets plenty of minutes. He doesn’t have the upside, but he has the minutes right now. Actually, you could just save yourself the trouble and use Wagner. This is a superb matchup, but it would take a giant leap of faith to even expect him to hit value here. Wagner is eating into Bryant’s playing time, and that could be a thing until Wagner slows down. Thomas Bryant ($6,600): Bryant is teeming with potential, but he rarely realizes it. All of those free shooting Rockets guards are really helping Capela’s value, just not in teh way we may have thought. Capela has 101 rebounds in the last five games, getting at least 20 boards in each. He’s the only guy that really isn’t having to compete for minutes on this team.Ĭlint Capela ($7,700): This isn’t a great matchup for Capela, but he put up 42 DraftKings points on the Clippers last week. Andre Drummond crafted 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 FT), 18 rebounds, three assists and two blocks as the Lakers defeated the Knicks in overtime on Tuesday. When you start adding those extra points to his double double nights, we can see some big scores coming out of Bam. Bam has six steals over the last two games. If they can again, Gobert may end up a really strong play.īam Adebayo ($8,000): Bam is the model of efficiency, but it is the peripheral defensive stats that he picks up that really spike his value. I don’t usually target games that could be a blowout, but the Warriors hung with the Jazz the first time around. One of his better games of the year so far was when Rudy dropped 51.5 DraftKings points on the Warriors. Rudy Gobert ($8,200): Gobert is showing signs of life after a rough start. I would trust Drummond over Jokic or Embiid to hit value. Drummond destroyed Atlanta earlier this year and could again if game flow permits. The offense goes too much through Blake with Drummond on the floor to really give him the massive upside he had early this year. Mandatory Copyright Notice: Copyright 2019 NBAE (Photo by David Sherman/NBAE via Getty Images) DraftKings NBA Centers:Īndre Drummond ($8 ,500): Drummond was a disappointment on a full Wednesday slate in which he fouled out with 38 DraftKings points. This is different: “Subsonic eXpanding.” This bullet is designed to expand at subsonic velocity, and that’s made possible via a hollow cavity flanked by extra-long grooves on the jacket. The same can be said for most other bullets of a similar profile, like the Sierra 220-grain. The A-MAX is not engineered for expansion, just good flight. The BLACK 208-grain subsonic is 1020 fps from a 16-inch barrel. Most factory subsonic loads follow this same formula, which, again, is to fit an existing 200+ grain bullet into this little case at a velocity of just over 1000 fps. Hornady chose it for a subsonic blackout load because, as suggested, it’s the right weight to maximize energy at subsonic velocity, and at a functionally reliable pressure level. This bullet is designed for competitive use, primarily, and follows the high-ballistic coefficient formula that’s proven to give less drop and drift at extended distances. Those, of course, were loaded to just as supersonic as I could get them! I have launched many, many A-MAX bullets at distant targets. 300 Blackout 208-Grain A-MAX® Hornady BLACK®. That combination of needs means that subsonic usually has a ballpark 200-grain bullet. Additionally, there has to be enough pressure to function the gun, but not exceed the velocity limit. To be subsonic, muzzle velocity limit is just over 1000 feet per second (fps). These each also show the two essential approaches to subsonic blackout. There are not nearly as many options shopping for subsonic factory ammo, and I chose to evaluate two from the same manufacturer. It’s decidedly made from a different component mix.The subsonic application is more specialized, meaning: (By the way, the whole motivation for this wasn’t to do an article it was to figure out what to load in my new gun! I chose one, and more in a short bit.) 300 Blackout is effective or not depends on what your opinion is of that round for a defensive application. Impact performance, based on energy figures, puts most subsonic loadings at beyond routine. I chose subsonic blackout because of its low “blast” (sound and flash) and also its impact performance at closer distances. I got interested in subsonic Blackout after finishing a project for my last book, and that was building a specialized home defense gun. 300 Blackout? The object of my attention and the motivation for this article: my “house gun,” a purpose-built. Technically, Blackout can be a little higher pressure, which mostly only affects supersonic loadings.) Why. Advanced Armament Corporation secured production-cartridge status, which means it got SAAMI-certified and called it. The main distinction is only a formality. (By the way, there’s no real difference in. If it functions with subsonic, it will greatly “over-function” with higher-pressure supersonic. 308-caliber bullet doesn’t produce much gas to operate the system.Īnd, clearly, it’s not possible to run sub- and supersonic loads through the same gun without undue compromise. I’ll do another entire article on that topic in these pages later on this year, but the reason is that the small amount of fast-burning propellant needed to launch a relatively heavy. I knew very little about the characters and the plot. The first time I played it, I basically went into it completely blind. It still does, but I promise it’s worth the wait. So, I first downloaded Mystic Messenger the night before my 17 th Birthday (I remember because I had a sleepover with my old best friend) and it actually took a really, really long time to install. But my advice would be to read my post, decide for yourself, maybe even download it and give it a little go. Actually, it might hinder you for reasons I will be mentioning later. Just because it helped me so much does not mean that it will help you as much. Now that I’ve got my little ‘Mystic Messenger is unique and shouldn’t be mocked for being a mobile game’ rant out of the way, I can move on and explain how it’s helped me through lockdown and with my mental illnesses in general. It’s not just the traditional mobile game that you can do whatever you want with and just leave it, you play when the game wants you to try, you play when the game intends for you to play. Mystic Messenger is so detailed just constantly leaves you wanting more. But you don’t get games like Mystic Masters on phones usually. The layout of Mystic Messenger makes it unique-it’s something that isn’t in normal videogames. Why would you want a game the is based on phone calls, emails and texts on a console? The short answer is you wouldn’t, because it just wouldn’t make sense. The plot and the depth to the characters are actually enough to make it a videogame-like the ones on consoles however the format of the game and the layout make it so that it just makes more sense for it to be on the phone. The thing with Mystic Messenger is that it is only a mobile game because it has to be a mobile game. But it has the detailed plot of an actual game. Mystic Messenger is unlike any game that I’ve ever played. Okay, before you stop reading, just hear me out, okay? Mystic Messenger is so much more than what I ever thought it was. I’ve been trying to focus on my mental health and I’ve started therapy too! So, what has actually kept me so busy? Mystic Messenger. But, apart from that, I’ve honestly been trying to recover from University and also I really needed to clean my house. I’ve recently got into Fifa (don’t ask, I know, it’s not like me to like games like that but now my Uncle is taking me to a football match if our team gets into the premier league so there’s that!). So, what have I been up to? Playing Persona? Playing a different game for once? Ha. Hello, Gamers! How are you doing? I am back and ready for action again after my very long, well-needed break. The main thing I did add an editors note for but yeah. Quick note to say that I wrote this towards the end of the first lockdown in England, so a few things may be off. You see you source code and step through it, watching the program execute, line by line, and watching the values of all program variables as they change. Lastly, for program development, if you are accustomed only to Fortran for DOS then you are in for a hell of a treat. It doesn't do anything hugely useful, but it was a grat help to me in learning how to use DISLIN with SF. I give at the end of this post the source code for a program I wrote as a DISLIN learning exercise. WRITE(LUS,'('' Input file opened:''/'' '',A)') FiNAMEĬ Input filename entered but file not found and/or not openedĬ Return a request to open the same filename as an echo fileĬ Set return value of LUI to LUK because input file-not-opened THis brings up a Win Doze dilename requester dialog, in which you can enter a pathname by mouse-clicking.ĬALL DWGFIL('INPUT file name', FiNAME, '*.IN*')Ĭ No ERR, so say so and set file-opened return value of LUIĬ CALL DISP(0,FiNAME//' opened.',LEN(FiNAME)+8,0) To solve your problem with your program not finding your input files, you can use the DISLIN statements, USE DISLIN nad CALL DWGFIL, as shown below. It is given away free by the author's generosity, for non-commercial use, and it is totally superb. The source code was all F77 and SF uses F90, of which F77 works fully in its original form, as a subset with a all the F90 improvements available as if they were extensions to F77.įor (2) my GUI, I have alighted on DISLIN. I then accomplished (1) almost immediately. What Jeff done as a front end to GNU F90 and the 'Insight' debugger is exceedingly good. I had a bit of learning to do to get hang of SF. Since discovering Simply Fortran ('SF') I have set myself the task of I have a very large structural engineering project that I have been developing over many years. Because everything compiled, I suspect there is just some minor confusion with paths on the part of Simply Fortran. Please let us all know if you have more success or if things seem to remain broken. An alternative would be to open a command prompt, navigating to the directory with the exectuable, and running the compiled program manually to see if the directory error still occurs. If you're still having troubles, there could possibly be a bug in Simply Fortran. Ensure that the working directory is either blank (if your SImply Fortran version is current) or points to the directory where your exectutable and data files reside. Next, select "Launch." from the Options menu. To simplify things, first make sure that the program executable that you've compiled and your data files, "input1.txt" in this case, are in the same directory. I would guess that the error you're seeing is related to some directory confusion. If you've successfully compiled your program, it sounds like you're doing great. | eval lowerBound=(avg-stdev* exact(2)), upperBound=(avg+stdev*exact(2)) | eventstats avg("mb_out") as avg stdev("mb_out") as stdev | timechart span=12h sum(mb_out) as mb_out The Splunk query to create this threshold is below. This will result in a fixed upper and lower boundary for the duration of the timespan selected. Similar to the previous methods, now we use a multiplier of standard deviation to calculate outliers. | eval isOutlier=if('mb_out' > threshold, 1, 0) Average + Static threshold timeline visual The Splunk query to create this threshold is below: … This creates an upper boundary for your data. We calculate this by first calculating the average of your data, following by selecting a multiplier. In addition to using arbitrary static value another method commonly used method of determining outliers, is a multiplier of the average. | eval isOutlier=if('mb_out' > threshold, 1, 0) Static threshold timeline visual The Splunk query to create this threshold is below : … | timechart span=6h sum(mb_out) as mb_out This is achieved by creating a static value and then using logic to determine if the value is above or below the threshold. The first commonly used method of determining an outlier is by constructing a flat threshold line. There are four methods commonly seen methods applied in the industry for basic outlier detection. The logic used to the determine outliers is highly reusable. For instance, we could measure outliers in megabytes going out of a network OR # of logins in a applications using the using the same type of Splunk query. Downloading this data set is not important, any sample time series data that we would like to measure for outliers is valid for the purposes of this blog. To gain access to this data please click here. The data used in this blog is Splunk’s open sourced “Bots 2.0” dataset from 2017. Stats: Calculates Aggregate Statistics such as count, distinct count, sum, avg over all the data points in a particular field(s).This feature is undoubtedly useful to calculate ‘Moving Average’ in additional to ordering events Streamstats: Similar to ‘stats’, streamstats calculates statistics at the time the event is seen (as the name implies). It is great for generating statistics on ‘ALL’ events Eventstats: Generates statistics (such as avg,max etc) and adds them in a new field.Subsequently the ‘timechart’ and ‘chart’ function use the bin command under the hood Bin: The ‘bin’ command puts numeric values (including time) into buckets. The 4 important commands to remember are: Data ingested in Splunk with a timestamp and by using the correct ‘nf’ can be considered “Time Series” dataĪdditionally, we will leverage aggregate and statistic Splunk commands in this blog. Time Series: Data ingested in regular intervals of time.To view the manual method of standard deviation calculation click here. We will use the concept of standard substantially in today’s blog. The higher the Standard Deviation the larger the difference between data points. Standard Deviation: Measure of spread of data.Outlier Detection Definition: Outlier detection is a method of finding events or data that are different from the norm. Before we jump into Splunk SPL (Search Processing Language) there are basic ‘Need-to-know’ Math terminologies and definitions we need to highlight: Understanding some key concepts are essentials to any Outlier Detection framework. The visual aspect of detecting outliers using averages and standard deviation as a basis will be elevated by comparing the timeline visual against the custom Outliers Chart and a custom Splunk’s Punchcard Visual. This blog will cover the widely accepted method of using averages and standard deviation for outlier detection. In this blog I will highlight a few common and simple methods that do not require Splunk MLTK (Machine Learning Toolkit) and discuss visuals (that require the MLTK) that will complement presentation of outliers in any scenario. There are multiple (almost discretely infinite) methods of outlier detection.
